The Little Coal River Trail System
Most noted for..... it's scenery, wildlife and easier overall trails. 100% of the trails at Little Coal River are UTV friendly. The trail system has a large visitors center and direct access to a lodging facility and campgrounds nearby. LCR is also known for it's close proximity to the Ivy Branch Trails (3 miles away) and a the City of Charleston (20 miles away).
Percentage breakdown of trails by difficulty rating are as follows;
Easiest (Green): 23%
More Difficult (Blue): 60%
Most Difficult (Black): 10%
Single Track (Orange): 7%
Located at 28 Big Pinnacle Branch Rd., Julian, WV 25529 (lat 38.18642, long -81.84399)
Has a 2+ acre parking lot, staffed visitors center and trailhead (hours of operation), on site restrooms, permits & merchandise available.
No community connectors at this time but there is food and fuel within a few miles of the trailhead location.
