Name: Little Coal River Campground, LLC
Description: The Little Coal River Campground is opening January 1, 2008. The campground formerly operated as Hatfield McCoy Outdoors, Inc. is located across from the newly constructed Hatfield McCoy Visitor’s Trail Center. The campground is twenty miles south of Charleston, WV nestled between Corridor G (Route 119) and the Little Coal River near Julian. The campground has 15 RV sites with a large amount of primitive camping available. The RV sites have water, sewer and 20/30/50 amp power hookups. A large bathhouse will be upgraded with heat and air conditioning soon. Vending machines and a game room will be open also. The campground has direct access to the Little Coal River Trailhead of the Hatfield McCoy Trails.
The campground is located along the banks of the Little Coal River. The tranquil stream offers fishing spots along its scenic banks. Shopping for the ladies and fine cuisine for all is twenty minutes north. Many attractions are located near Charleston. Please see the “Attractions” page.
The campground will install two cabins by the spring of 2008. Also, a 36 foot travel trailer is currently for rent.
