Welcome to the Historic Matewan House Bed & Breakfast. Located in the most historic little town here in West Virginia. Home of the Hatfield McCoyTrails here on Buffalo Mtn. home to the Matewan Masacre (the shoot-em out incident that started the union and the mine wars here in this state) and also last but not least the infamous homes of the feudin Hatfields and McCoys.
Our Bed & Breakfast is "down the street" from the entrance to the trail system, and Matewan is ATV friendly. Every morning while you stay with us you will indulge an all you can eat country breakfast, hot tub (after trail riding just take a hot soak)queen beds, private baths, movies galore, supper if you want it, cleanest rooms and best prepared food anywhere.
We provide a secure, locked in area for you quads and bikes. A wash down for your machines. We also wash your muddy clothes, no charge, but the bottom line is, this is our home and while you stay here with us we want you to BE at home.
Need Trail Permits? You can get them right here at our place. We have a big ole porch to visit on, have a fireplace to snuggle up to on chilly evenings. Come and visit us we'll keep the light on for you. Pat & Sharon Garland
